Halifax Harbour Bridges MACPASS Miles

It may not be the longest course in the province, nor feature the long hills that test a real runner’s mettle, but MACPASS Miles does offer a spectacular panoramic view of Halifax Harbour.

Open to runners and walkers of all ages and speeds, the one-mile MACPASS Miles returns on the Natal Day weekend after a two-year hiatus

There will be four races beginning at 9 am. The July 31 races start on the Halifax side of the historic Macdonald bridge and end just short of the Dartmouth toll booths.

Women: 9:00am | Men: 9:30am | Girls: 10:00am| Boys: 10:30am

There is no entrance fee for 2022 runners. Registration is required. Race kit pick up is set for July 30 at the HHB garages at 125 Wyse Road.

The BuskerFest is back in Halifax, and now for the first time, in Dartmouth!

With busker performances, nightly fire shows, vendors and the carnival on the Dartmouth Waterfront, there is fun on both sides of the harbour.

The Halifax Harbour Bridges Annual Macdonald Bridge Walk

Grab the family and take in Bridgewalk 2022, a free unstructured walk across the Macdonald Bridge that takes place from 2 to 4pm after the MACPASS Miles.

Halifax musician John Alphonse and a Dixie-style band will be roaming the bridge and a community band will keep things hopping on a stage near the Dartmouth end of the bridge.

Young and old, physically fit and those fitness-challenged will enjoy spending a couple of hours 90 metres above Halifax Harbour. Baby strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Cyclists will need to remain in the bikeway.

The African Nova Scotia Music Association & the Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day organizers are happy to announce, that once again after a two year hiatus, the ANSMA "Freedom Festival" Concert will return in 2022.

The 16th Annual ANSMA "Freedom Festival" Concert is set to go-forward on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

Join us at the Dartmouth Ferry Terminal Park at 1:30 pm.

The show will end at 9:30pm with a pyrotechnic display from the Peace Pavilion.

Natal Day x Buskers All Stars

The Grand Oasis Festival Series – a free festival to celebrate music, art, and culture at Grand Parade in downtown Halifax. The festival will take place from June 21 to Oct. 1, 2022.

Each week will include a new lineup of artists and events, from Canada’s greatest hitmakers to Billboard chart-topping sensations to Indigenous artists and voices.
